Access Victoria: Accessible Transit Services

handyDART

With handyDART, you are picked up at the door and dropped at the door of your destination. If you cannot use the low-floor buses easily, handyDART is for you.

The fares for handyDART are the same as the full adult fare on the regular bus.

The transit service area is divided into two fare zones. The fare you pay is based upon the number of zones you travel through. When your trip crosses a zone boundary, you pay a two-zone fare when using cash or tickets. Monthly passes and daypasses are valid region wide.

The zone boundaries to the north are Sayward Road at Pat Bay Highway, and Beaver Lake Road and West Saanich Road. To the west the boundary is Highway 1A and Dukrill Road or Highway 1 west of Thetis Interchange.

You can use these fare products on handyDART:

  • Cash: use correct fare as drivers do not carry change
  • BC Transit Super (Adult) tickets
  • DayPASS

  • BC Transit discount tickets by paying the extra 75¢ in cash.

You cannot use these fare products on handyDART:
