Funding for the Transit System is cost shared among the District of Powell River, the Regional District of Powell River and BC Transit.

Decisions about fares, routes and service levels in Powell River (urban areas) are made by the District based on information and planning provided by the Municipal Systems Program of BC Transit.

Decisions about fares, routes and service levels in the Regional District of Powell River (rural areas) are made by the Regional District of Powell River based on information and planning provided by the Municipal Systems Program of BC Transit.

The conventional transit system is operated by Powell River Municipal Transportation. The custom and paratransit systems are operated by Powell River Taxi 2001.
