Funding for Clearwater Transit is cost shared between the District of Clearwater, Thompson Nicola Regional District and BC Transit. Decisions about fares, routes and service levels are made by the District of Clearwater and the Thompson Nicola Regional District based on information and planning provided by BC Transit. Operating costs are met by a combination of farebox revenues and joint district, regional district and provincial funding.
