BC Transit and the City of Campbell River provide transit service for its residents and,through an agreement with the Strathcona Regional District, to the residents of Oyster Bay-Buttle Lake (electoral area 'D') just to the south of the city.

Decisions about fares, routes and service levels are made by the City based on information and planning provided by the Municipal Systems Program of BC Transit.

The transit system is operated by Watson and Ash Transportation Company Ltd.
