Community support for public transit is stronger than ever. Over the past five years transit ridership increased at twice the rate of growth in service. Demographic trends, economic activity and new partnerships are generating even more demand for public transit. This "Outlook for Transit" represents the collective view of BC Transit Board of Directors and the local government partners that continued expansion of transit services is a priority to ensure access to jobs, education and health services. BC Transit is working with senior governments to identify funding sources for the proposed service plans.
